Dvorak Cello Concerto

The centrepiece of our first full-length concert of the season is Dvorak's Cello Concerto, surely the greatest of all concertos for the instrument. We are delighted to welcome Ben Tarlton as our soloist following his very successful concert with us last season. 

A light-music hit by Khachaturian - the Waltz from his Masquerade Suite - is the curtain-raiser, and Tchaikovsky's Fourth Symphony, with its famous scherzo played pizzicato throughout by the strings, completes this enticing programme.
