If you would you like to play some of the great orchestral repertoire (mainly 19th & 20th century), why not come along to a rehearsal ?

We still have a bit of room for more violinists, violists and cellists (at least Grade VIII), and we would really like to find another French horn or two. While our woodwind section is currently full we would still like to hear from you if you are of around Grade VIII standard - an opportunity might arise at any time. We usually have room for brass players.

We are a friendly and sociable bunch! Apart from rehearsal tea breaks there's plenty of opportunity to chat to others in a local pub afterwards, and our Christmas and Summer parties are popular with friends and families too.

We don't hold formal auditions, so if you are interested, do come along to a rehearsal, or to the 'Play for Pleasure' in September, or to one of our "repertoire evenings" when we play through music we are not rehearsing for a concert.   Please send us an email  or phone and leave a message on 01732 453010 to let us know that you'd like to come along.

      Finding us:

We rehearse on Wednesday evenings at 8pm, generally during school term time, at the Sevenoaks Primary School, Bradbourne Park Road, TN13 3LB. Free parking is available at the school - please bear in mind that the school grounds have a one way system, the entrance is in Bradbourne Road and the exit is onto Bradbourne Park Road, the one with all the speed-bumps.

The centrepiece of our first full-length concert of the season is Dvorak's Cello Concerto, surely the greatest of all concertos for the instrument....
